C2500 to K2500 ('70 GMC)

Here is the story,

Got a '70 GMC 402/400 14 bolt FF, ac cab, etc. I'm wanting to convert this thing to 4wd.(I know ) I dont want to swap frames. Anyone out there do this kinda thing?

I plan on doing light offroading/mudding and highway driving. Want the ratio to be around 3.07 (dont ask) overall.

First step would be putting the front axle under it, but only RWD, then put in the transfercase and front driveline.

If it's too much a PITA, just swap the whole thing for a 1 ton or 3/4 with a crap body.

Anyone?
