Running motor without harness

So i want to get the frame finished to the point I can drive her around the block. The problem I face is I don't want to hook-up an O.E harness, I rather just make one with the wires I need so i can rip her apart on and off. Anyone got any the steps to do this? I got some idea but rather get a list going of "TO-DO" list before i start on this. I want to get my mind of the body work

I got an HEI
1-wire alternator

Also I had to 2 row radiator now I got a 4 row. Do i have to mod the bottom mounts? or are there 4 row mounts for the bottom and top?

Tips, ideas, and diagrams would be great.

thanks
Alex
