need some tranny help!

hey guys i am new on this site...i just purchased a 67 c-10...it has the 327 with a th350....the tranny leaks like a faucet! i just bought the new gasket for it and the pan is coming in a few days, the pan was really warped and mangled. Anyways, how difficult is it to do this job in the driveway.....I am mechanically inclined, but i just don't want to start something and then run through a major problem in the middle of it......also are there any tips for installing a pan and gasket? thanks guys
