Tach dash cluster - Plug and Play?

I just got a working tach cluster for my '79 (yes!). The new cluster was from a 78 and has all electric gauges (not the mechanical oil pressure gauge) like the earlier trucks. Other than the tach harness, is this a plug and play deal, or do I need to change something in the truck wiring harness to get fuel gauge to work right? The printed circuit on the back looks basically identical between the two clusters, which is what scares me. Is the feed harness different?
