ball joint brand discussion

ok, i am looking to find some good balljoints for a vehicle that i have that needs them replaced asap, and i want either moog or trw, and in alot of cases i am seeing mcquay-norris part numbers being same numbers as moog, excpet for the final digit of the number.

trw numbers seem to be totally different number, which i expect to happen,

who knows what brands have merged with what brands and who makes what these days ?

i cant get trw or moog in town, napa and autozone are laughing at me and act like im stupif for wanting other than what they have in stock(mcquay), all i can find are trw ones, in springfield at western auto, and thats all thats there even,,,

is trw even worth a damn ? price seems low on them, get what you pay for you know,,, i plan on keeping this vehicle i am replacing them on, so,,,,,
