worth it to redo window felt & channels???

I am working on getting the interior noise level down in my truck when driving on the freeway. I figure I will have to pull the rubber flooring to put down some kind of sound deadener.
My question to those whom have gone before:
Did you reduce the wind noise much by redoing your door glass felt/channels and what about the wings?
Also to those whom have used the sound deadener stuff did you place any inside the doors?
Thanks in advance,
