Turn signals behind grill help

Could someone explain to me ,or show me a picture of, how these lights fit in. I just bought some 83-87 style lights that fit behind the grill. My truck is an 81 but I switched to the newer style bumper therefore must also switch to the turn signals.
I'm about reduced to drilling/cutting holes in the rad support to make room for the back of them and screwing a piece of wood into the center of the grill to hang them. Save me before I make a mess.
Thanks,
Matt
