Something my dad taught me when I was a kid

Never walk up behind somebody when they are using power tools. My wife and daughter have done that and startled the hell out of me!. I always tell them to either page me on the intercom or knock on the door or wait until I stop, grinding, drilling, etc. Sounds simple but I hate that feeling especially when I'm cutting something that needs to be precise and it gets messed up because of being startled. Lately I've been real careful about wearing eye protection too!
