Headlight problems
I have a new (to me) 1983 K20 Silverado 4x4 Camper Special. I am starting off trying to make it safe and legal to drive on the street, and finally got it running last night. It was a former fire truck, and had some weird wiring on it that was removed by the FD before I bought it.
The headlights are a bit funky. When I first brought it home, the only low beam light that worked was the top passenger's side headlight. The only high beam light that worked was the bottom driver's side headlight. I found a bad connection on the top driver's side light, and also found a cut wire (yellowish) on the bottom driver's side that I re-spliced together. Now I get both top lights on low beam, but on high beam I get only the two driver's side lights; the passenger's side lights cut off completely on high beam. Any suggestions on where to look next? I am a complete newbie at this. Thanks, Bud
