Fuel Injected 5 Speed

Alright here are the questions

New project - Pull Truck - 71 longbed, 4x4, Dana 60/14 w/4.56, Fuel Injected BBC, 5 speed manual,divorced 205, 35'' tires, 8'' lift

1. Has anyone had any experience with Edelbrock's Pro-Flo EFI systems?? Looks good but would like some real world knowledge before I drop $$

2. 5 speed manual - Need/want 5 speed cause of gearing, thought 5 speed manual would be the easiest option. How easy is it to drop in a newer (1999 on up) 5 speed. Electonics ??

3.what does 8'' lift look like on these trucks - could I still pull a gooseneck or do I need to stay somewhere around 6''

After I figure this out the rest is easy then I only need to decide - color

thanks guys
