I was checking out the VIN decoder and it says the last six digits are the serial number. My last six digits are 827148. Did they make over 827,000 of these trucks in 1969? That seems like a large number to me. Especially for back then.
Is it possible the seventh digit means something and the remaining are the serial number? My VIN is CS149A827148 C = 2WD S = 6 Cylinder 1 = 1/2 ton 4 = truck with bed 9 = 1969 A = built in Atlanta remaining numbers are supposed to be the vehicle serial number 8 2 7 1 4 8
