Need help on power disc conversion

Just when ya think you're almost done...

I've got my 1970 3/4 ton 2wd all converted over to discs. I took all the donor parts needed from a 1972 3/4 ton. Everything is in place, and I'm just buttoning it up, hooking up brake lines etc. However, I just ran into a little snag:

The brake hose that goes from the caliper to the crossmember and clips in does not fit. It looks like the 72 hoses are "keyed" with a hex nut, with a portion this rounded of instead of being 6 sided. It's not rounded of by a wrench, I checked both hoses and it sure looks keyed to fit a crossmember? My existing 70's crossmember mount for this rubber hose is keyed exactly like a 12 point socket...

Anyone familiar with this problem, or how to get around it? It was my understanding you didn't have to swap crossmembers. I'd hate to have to do that, if it comes to it I'll just dremel out the keyed section in the mount and make it fit.

Hope this makes sense, I'll try and get pics tomorrow if needed.
