Exclamation HELP! External to internal voltage regulator/alt swap

I was doing the external voltage regulator / alternator to internal voltage regulator/ alternator swap that is in the FAQ section and ran into a problem.

I have the red, white and blue wires he mentions in the FAQ, but I also have a black wire that was connected to the small post on the back of the old alternator. Where does this black wire hook up to?

I hooked up the blue wire to the #1 tab (driver-side tab) on the new alternator and the red wire to the post on the back of the new alternator, and then I ran a jumper from the big post to the #2 tab (passenger-side tab) on the new alternator. I just capped the white wire.

I am just wondering what the black wire that was hooked to the small post on the old alternator did and what I should do with it on the new set-up?

Help! I don't want to run the truck until this is remedied. If I read the FAQ wrong and did the wrong wire hookups please advise.

Thanx in advance
Dano
