More help with crossmember drop?

Hey guys,

I know there has been lots of talk about crossmember drops of late but I have ran into a few minor issues I am trying to figure out a salution to prior to cutting my crossmember. I finally got my 406 sbc and 700r4 bolted up with the stock crossmember in place. Any ways I am running a 7qt oil pan and would like to keep it that way. The problem I am running into is that my oil pan already sits about as low as the crossmember now, so after I take 1.5" out the oil pan will be too low. So what I am curious is what are you guys with 292;s and others with clearance issues doing? I am starting to think the crossmember "notch" may work better for me but then what to do with the engine mounts. Any sort of help will be greatly appricated I know I am not the first person to run into these sorts of issues.

Thanks
Keith
