Late model sierra seats in a 71

Ok, so I picked up the seats I am going to use. 2002 Chevy 1/2 ton, split with the little buddy seat in the middle.

I threw them in the cab last night, trying to work out placement.

Anyone else have these in their 67-72?

Can you give me a measurement from the back of the cab to the "foot" of the seat, i.e where the back bolts down?

I figured out how I am going to support the seatbelts and the mounts. I made a piece of C channel that will be welded to the bottom of the cab, it's already drilled for the seat mounts.

The C channel is 3/8" thick, is 3" wide with a 1" lip on each side. Should be plenty strong and I am running it from cab end to cab end for all seat mounts.

Heck, I may even build a stringer for it to tie into the frame...
