Lovely pictures of rust (not for the squeamish)

Here's why I think I need a new w/s frame for my blazer. I am afraid to take the top off because I'm afraid I won't be able to get it back on. I have a truck cab in decent shape (needs rockers and a little floor work) that I can try to modify to replace the front of my blazer tub (think gee emm). Is this an option in everyone's opinion? Or is it too much to hope for. I have a lot more time than I have money at this point, so I can't shop this out and probably can't afford to find a tub in good shape.
