Exhaust note
With everything else being equal, if you increase the tailpipe diameter, will the exhaust note get deeper? I'm using 2 1/4 pipes with DynoMax Super Hemi Turbos (what a name, huh?). From outside, there's too much of a cheesy rat-tat-tat sound on acceleration. I'm wondering if 2.5" tailpipes would change the tone. If not, I may try using some bullet-type race mufflers to knock the sound down a bit. Another option is some resonator exhaust tips, like those made by Hedman. What do you all think? Yeah, I know -- my 383 really needs a full 2.5" system.
