You can't use your in home oven because of the fumes and certain level of toxins that would emit in your home. The different types of powder are hybrids, epoxies, urethanes, TGIC polyesters, and acrylics. I think there is few more different types of powders. The Hotcoat system got and environmental award in 98 (I think), because it was so clean and no hazardous materials or disposal problems.

Still you don't want your pot roast to taste like mirror black and your home smell like urethane do you? The people here who powder coat know the different types of smells.
