Progress made
Today was good for me and the old 70. First thing I tackled was filling in the spot where the original fuel tank filler was.
Got to play with my plasma cutter again and cut a filler pisec from my old bed front. By the way, it turns out that the inside diameter of a roll of masking tape is the perfect size for a template. I free bent it in the vice to get it to confrom better with the cab lines, hopefully to need less filler later. All held in place and ready to weld. In case your wondering those are magnets from computer harddrives. They make an excellent extra pair of hands for welding. All welded up and waiting for the filler coat. I still need lots more practice with my welding, but I'm having fun. More in next post.
