Todays Project: Fatmat and Carpet install *UPDATED W/PICS*
Ok, so I ordered two rolls of Fatmat sound insulation. VERY easy to work with and sticks great. I put down two layers to ensure a nice quiet ride(in a convertible ). Fatmat is a great price and I still have tons left to do the doors, rear quarters, and bed. Por 15'd the floors last year just in case too, but they are rust free originals. You'll notice that the sides are not painted, thats because I will be installing Fatmat, then speaker enclosures.
The first pic is the first layer minus the center hump, which i did later with two layers also. Also got the firewall. I intalled some new firewall "stock" insulation also since the original was falling to pieces, Then came the new carpet kit. Very nice fit. Tomorrow I will post pics with seats, new(reconditioned) console and trim installed.
