72 frame -the long way
Had some time this afternoon and weather was great so went to work on frame swap. Had a 72 truck that the frame was totally rusted out back by the shock mounts so I pulled the front cross member and rear end last weekend just to have it done. Well with the perfect weather I had some time this afternoon and I went ahead and pulled my 68 frame into the driveway and proceded to pull it apart and swap in the 72 front cross member and rear end. Air impact and the fire wrench were valuable tools in this job. Any way finished up about 6:30 tonight. The front member isn't bolted in yet just got some old bolts through the holes to hold it in place. Need to pick up some new grade 8 bolts to put it back on with.hated to use those rusty old bolts. At least the rear is bolted back in.
Anyway pics are the fun part!!
