Engine Ideas

Alright well my 85' is still running awesome but its starting to burn a little oil. The seals are old and it puffs alittle smoke on start up and in high rpms. Its not my daily driver anymore, Ive got a beater now. I was thinking about going LS1 but I cant afford the insurance on one so Im going to continue to play with the truck. Moral of the story is I want to rebuild my 350 to where she runs like a champ, doesnt burn anything and has alot more pep. I dont want to be running 10s or anything insane but I want for it to run in the high 14 second range. Right now it runs mid 17's with a 2.xx out back. I plan to swap that with either a 3.73 or 4.10 for some more getup and go. I know how engines work but no idea how to assemble one so I would get it built somewhere. I would like to get about 350 to 400 crank hp. I think with that power and a rear end buildup would make for a fun truck. (Tranny is already built) You all know of any kits or done something similar to what I want?
