88-98 tilt column?

Curious if anyone has done or tried this...only one I've seen is the orange crew cab that had a seriously butchered dash (they modded the ~2000 chevy dash into it) so nothing looked very original....I'm curious to know how hard it would be to put an 88-98 locking manual tilt column into my K5.

I figure the locking column would add more security when the top's off and I could unclutter the dash some by shaving the spot where the key went, plus manual 88-98 tilt columns are way more common (and cheaper) than 67-72 truck manual tilts or van tilts, neither of which lock.
