Yee-haww!!!
looked at my points distributor for the last time today.....put my HEI together..new cap, rotor, wires, and such. Wired the 12 gauge lead and the tach lead, and hit the switch....okay, okay...all were off by one posistion, tried it again...and vvrroomm!!!!!! Houston....we have lift-off!!!
Okay...now for the questions....book says 8 degrees initial...doesn't seem that the motor likes that....not advanced enough. I'm running stock heads....so I'm guessing my compression ratio is around 8.5 to 1. and I use 87 octane. What's everyone else using? What timing...what fuel? Anyway....Idle is MUCH smoother....starts right up...and I'm not sure...but it seems to have a little more power....anyway, I'm happy!
