1971 3/4t??

Came across what I believe to be a 71 3/4t 2wd yesterday...(mirror attached to windshield frame....71 right?).

Anyway, my question is this, the guy wants 750 for it...it look to be decently optioned...though I didn't get to look at the sticker....it has A/C (no compressor but everything else appears to be there), th400, I think a 350, but I guess its got a pretty bad knock from when the son was 'fixing' the carb last winter...not sure what that could be.
The body looks to be in relatively good shape, the cab will need a couple of patches, but the rockers and cab corners look decent.....I am looking for a few misc. parts, and was thinking about buying this, getting what I need, and selling off the rest....is the worth there.....or not?

Yes yes....pics.... it will be done!
