Timing dilemea...
Ok...its not a true dilemea...but I have way too much total vacuum...I have an adjustable vacuum can, and a proform HEI..the mechanical advance is 25 degrees in at 2700rpm..with the vac. im up to 65 degrees at 3000...thats with intial set at 8 degrees
Thats after I adjusted down the vacuum can..it was 80 degrees total timing...WTF..my 283 has pretty low comp. so it dose not ping..but im getting ready to put in a 10.2 to 1 355...so im trying to figure it out thanks jim ------------------ 67 lwb fleetside...first hotrod in 25 years...283..186 bowl ported heads..270h comp cam 600 1405...stealth intake..HEI..th350 with 2500 rpm stall..4:10 POSI god I love to go fast
