Aw MAN! did I ever work out a deal on a 78 w/454

Hey all. Just gotta brag about a pretty good lookin deal I've worked out with a friend of a friend who's looking to sell his 78 Sierra Grand with a 454 on propane (with a 300L tank). He wants $600 for the whole truck; the only thing that's wrong is the torque converter and apparently his dad who spent most of the time behind the wheel was quite picky about manitenance so it should be a good truck otherwise. The only hitch to this is that I have to play bagpipes at his brothers wedding in a couple of weeks which i definitely don;t mind doing at all. (sorry about my lousy typing....had a couple of Guiness).

I was thinking of waiting 'til spring to try and hunt down an older Caddy to scoop the 500 and then put that on propane but it looks like I'm gonna get my propane and a 454 (cheaper speed/muscle parts) for $600(Canadian which is roughly $400US).

I'd better go see if I can still play those damned pipes!
