Electric fans are fine, but all it takes is a bad wire or a relay going bad to render them useless. I have done many a head gasket job due to electric fans not kicking on...and not just on 150,000 mile old junk cars either...some fairly new ones too.
A fixed bladed fan on a fan clutch is hard to beat, esp if you plan on towing. |
