seats/mercury switch
I was talking with a friend this past weekend about installing new style seats into my old truck.
I told him I have found manual seats from a 2003 Chev truck and then I would not have to worry about running power to them. (I am the only one who drives my truck, so why would I want to adjust the seat!). He then asks me if my seats have mercury switches on them for the shoulder belts? I say WHAT! He then explains that on his new F()rd truck the shoulder belts do not have any kind of a gravity ratchet to stop the belt from coming out during an accident and that they have a mercury switch built in, that on impact locks the shoulder belts in place. As anybody ran into this problem (pun not intended).
