Question 1 ton disk brakes

hey guys i want to put disk brakes on my 62 chevy 1 ton i have been reading on it but cant find much on 1 tons. 1/2 or 3/4 i read just change a arms out. but my 1 ton has tourtion(spelling)bars and not coil springs. so do i need to change it to a 3/4 ton x member? or can i change it at the ball jounts? i got a 3/4ton i can get the x member from but will it bolt into my 1 ton?
