Steering column replacement?? Any tips??

I just bought a new steering column on ebay for my 86 chevy. It should be here in about two weeks. I have never messed around with columns much. Any easy tricks I should know about? I am guessing I just have to take it down from the bottom of the dash, and unmount it from the firewall/floorpan. Are the electrical connections difficult? The one is bought is exactly the same. Year,Tilt,Cruise,Intermittent wipers. Just wanting to get an idea before I dive in.

thanks
robert
