My 72 Blazer project
Well, I have posted pics in the other rooms...so now its time for this one.
This 1972 Blazer was sitting behind a friends mothers house. It had 1992 plates on it. It belonged to my friends brother who died a few years back. When I brought it home it had set for 12 years. (outside). It had dry rotted 33" tires with rusted white wagon wheels on it. It is a 307, 2bbl , 4x4, 3 guage dash, originally three on the tree. It was changed to the floor at some time. WHY, WHY...I brought it home..checked the oil...put fuel and a battery in it and it started and i drove it arround the neighborhood!!!! Since I have several other projects going on, this one is on the back burner. I have done a complete brake job, tune up, new radiator and rebuilt the carb. I had that set of Ralleys so I threw them on it so it would fit on the car trailer. The condition of the body is at that point to where I dont know if she is going to get a nice average retoration or just a daily driver on 35's with 6 inches of lift!?!?! OPINIONS? Do you think I should leave the 3 in the floor, put it back in the column, or change it to an automatic??? THOUGHTS?? |
