coil of leaf rear ?

Opinions are almost always free....I'm looking for some.
I've got a 71 c20 camper special. Coil rear end eaton with 4.10 gears.wanting to fix it up.
Also got a 72 c20 parts truck almost all there with a later '76 dana and 3.54 gears leaf spring. Got squirrely on the ice a while back and bent the front frame from the cross member forward a little...$350 to fix. I think the dana gears would be nice....don't need 4.10 and a granny gear first. what I'm thinking is swapping the frames. That would give me a good place to start cleaning and painting .....good gears....and not spending $350 to straighten a frame.

Would my ride change a lot with the leaf rearend ? The truck rides great now and I wonder if its the coil rear that gives the good ride ? My buddy has an 87 3/4 ton rides rough. He would rather drive my 3/4 ton.

thanks jeff
