heated factory bench!

ok, guys. had it out with the wife, and she won (surprise.) we're goin' back to the factory bench seat.

i tore down the old bench the other night, and ordered replacement foam for the seat and back, as well as a new houndstooth cover (it's been sitting in dad's storage unit for about the past 12 years with a helluvalot of weight on top, so it's in nasty shape.) frame's good, springs are good, and it needs a good sandblastin' (anyone in DFW area willing to let me have a go with their sandblasting booth?)

anyway, as if the foam and upholstery weren't pricey enough (felt like voluntary highway robbery) i think that since i've got it apart, i'm going to install a pair of those carbon fiber heated seat inserts (my wife's favorite part of modern cars.)

anyone done this? any problems?

also, i seem to all of a sudden have a nice comfy '95 ford seat that needs a home...
