Oil pan replacement questions
When I did the first oil change in 12 years, I trashed the threads on my oil pan drain. I think replacing the pan is the best solution, but I have a question about the gasket I need to replace.
When I went to buy the pan and gasket, the parts guy asked if I needed the gaskets with exahust pipe packing or the one without. Anyone know which I need? FYI, I have a stock 68 307 2wd with stock single exhaust. Also, suggestions on gasket to use? Cork? Rubber? One piece or two? Specific gaskets brand reccomendation? And the pan? Anyone have good or bad experiences with specific replacement pans? Thanks for any info and help guys.
