Routing the air lines is time consuming and it's "very" critical that they are routed correctly. They must be ran through grommets, rubber hose, or wire loom at any point that they come in contact with anything. Any point of frisction can create a weak spot that will blow.
They can not be ran anywhere near the exhaust. Even the heat created by an exhaust leak can build up in an area sifficent enough to cause a line to blow. You can use copper line to prevent this, but it is much more time consuming to run.
