Check your fuel line!
I finally found it! I thought I might have had a fuel leak somewhere because
every so often I could smell gas, but not really in the cab. I rolled under the truck and traced the fuel line and right under the tank (in cab tank) there is a rubber section about 10" long that connects two steel fuel lines. One goes into the cab to the tank and the other goes along the frame to the pump. Anyway, the rubber was original, cracked, and dripping. Funny thing was, it dripped onto the frame rail and ran along the frame until the gas evaporated, so all this time I have been looking for a drip and could not find it. The gas was leaking, but never dripped to the ground. So, any of you guys still running an original fuel line from an in-cab tank take a look at that rubber union and see if it needs replaceing. I wonder how much gas I have just dumped to the road?!?!?
