Heres your options

1. Cut your losses and pull that POS out of the frame rail's while the thing is half torn down .

2. Reassemble that POS using all the old gaskets and fire it up with a large brick sitting on top of the happy peddle and wait for that sweet sound of a POS 305 going Boom!.

3. Get a A/C Delco crate Eng. and be done with it there's one for every budget it dont have to be a high output one! a stock 350 is good cuz it's a 350 then you can do pwr add on as money allows
