72 TH350 vs 78 TH350

I have the opportunity to pick up a 78 TH350 tranny&transfer case from 1978 1/2 ton chevy 4x4 for $200. The transfer case should be a NP205(part time) or NP 208(full time) ????????

What I want to do is use the 78 tranny in place of the one I have now in my 72 K20. Is there anything I need to look for regarding the output shaft of the 78 tranny, that would prevent it from matching up to the 72 T-case? The 78 tranny has been rebuilt and it would be far easier to swap it now since I have the cab off and the engine removed.
