Where the floor meets the rocker?

My floor pan patch panel seems to be too wide from the cab mount hole to the kick panel area. It seems to me that it couldn't be as far out as it is (about an inch) so I must be trying to fit it wrong. Does anyone have a good close picture of where the rocker panel meets the floor pan? My truck was too rusty to tell what that area looked like, so I'm just guessing at the moment. Any pictures at all would be helpful. Thanks!
