Power steering hoses help / questions

So, as some of you know I'm dropping an '01-02 LS1 into my truck, I'm in mid swap. I'm having some hose issues.

Here is my PS Gearbox:

It has two threaded plastic nuts in it, but at the auto parts store, the low pressure hose is just a tube with no fitting. WTF? Is that correct? Why do I have a threaded nut in my PS hose if that's true?

I have a high pressure line for the '01-'02LS1. I bought a high pressure line for the '68 C-10.

I guess am going to have a hydraulic shop graft the two together and have that part done, I'm just stumbling on the low pressure side.

Just a side note: NAPA said they don't make custom hydraulic hoses, even though I've been told by at least 3 people (including the person I talked to on the phone) that they do. Note to self: Never trust my local NAPA. (Pryor St., Atlanta)
