New project "Afterburn"

I picked up a really pretty nice and burnt 72 custom long bed,3.5/3 drop, nice paint super nice bed and overall a nearly rust free truck. Has a couple a very small spots above the windshield and a half dollar on the outside of the passenger door. I got the truck locally from a fellow member Pegerine(sp) I looked at it 3-4 weeks ago and it too $$ for me at the time and he dropped his price called me to let me know and we struck a deal It has a serious carb fire tat pretty well destroyed everything inside the engine bay and the fire wall of the cab, however it didn't even burn any of the carpet and hardly any of the firewall insulation, but it sure smelled bad It will be a nice driver when I get it done, I have started and complete most of the tear out except the motor and brake booster(still holding pressure ) I tried to post pics here and I guess the new pic program I have isn't compatable with the board as it keeps saying invalid file So I went and posted it on cardomain and heres the link http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2297885/1 More pics on the second page.
I will be workng on it for a few months for sure a little here and there, the next big step is getting the motor out and maybe the tranny I've got a 700r4 in the garage Get the motor out and see what it up with it, got my fingers crossed, clean the front of the cab and cowl area and get it in some primer and then repainted red, not trying to show the truck just drive it and I don't care if it is a shade or two off I'm not painting the whole truck, just a driver anyway. I have nicknamed it project Afterburn which is silly I know but It seemds to fit well Anyway the link shows what I got done today, my step dad and I, mostly I are working on this together and are having a blast. I will keep updating as I go, LMK what you think...Randy
