Dana 44 drums obsolete?

I had Napa order new drums for the rear of my 67 GMC (6 lug Dana 44 posi) When they came in they were too shallow by about ½ inch. They tried to look up some that would work but had no luck. They said mine were obsolete and no longer made. After shelling out a chunk of change to have the rear rebuilt I really need to find some drums that will work. Anybody else had this problem and found drums or a solution besides switching to disc?
Oh yea, the drums are 11" with 2-1/2" of pad surface area, 3-1/2 total depth.
