402 BB edelbrock carb. bracket ,linkage? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I've put a 1406 edelbrock carb. and intake performer series on my 402 BB. Do any of you have the same set up? Do I use the origional accelerator cable and bracket? I noticed ,If I put the accelerator grommet on cable(round part) into the bracket it causes a little bend in the cable between the bracket and the firewall. Is this normal or can I adjust the cable to take the bend out? Thank you all for your help. Dave
