Question Just wanted to say hi

This is my first message since becoming a memeber. I own a 1969 Chevy Blazer, that was owned since new by a friend of mine. Its in awesome condition except for the motor and tranny. The body is straight, the decals are still on the glove box and legible, as well as in the engine compartment. I want to put a new motor in it and begin the restoration process. Any thoughts on keeping it original or upgrading all four drum brakes etc.
