New truck search

In October I sold my '73 C-20 with the intention of replacing it with a 67-72. The C-20 was a work truck and the 3/4 didn't get squat for mileage [9mpg highway]. After I sold it I had planned to buy a C-10, but times have been hard, so last week I listed my '78 El Camino SS on ebay and sold it last night.

I'm going to be in the market for a C-10 with a 350/350 combo or a 6cyl./4spd. My budget is going to be in the $2500 range. Front discs and HEI would be a plus. The SS gets picked up on Wednesday or Thursday, so very quickly after that I will have cash in hand for a new truck.

So if anyone knows of one close to Dallas that's a good everyday driver, let me know. Has to be a long bed, stepside or fleet ok. Paint condition is not a huge issue, nor does the interior have to be perfect. Minor surface rust is OK, but I'd rather not have one with rusted through areas [btdt].

I am looking forward to getting this truck, I've been wanting a 67-72 for quite some time. Any help in direction is appreciated!
