'67 Stepside Bed Help

Hello all,
I've got a bit of a quandry about my '67 stepside short bed. I've gotten the truck just about ready to get back on the road, and I would like to figure out a cheap easy way to use this bed I have, by either using some marine grade plywood as a floor, or some sheet metal. I really want to find a steel floored fleetside bed for it, but until then I just need to haul some stuff. I also don't want to mess up the bed I have in case someone else may need it and can use it as-is. I've gone around in circles about this for a couple weeks, and I just need to make a decision. Can anyone offer any suggestions? I have posted some pictures of the bed here:
