sanding down bed (pics)

Started sanding down the bed today. Using a da sander. Not too bad, but are there any faster ways to take all the paint off myself? Don't want to use any chemicals. The old paint looked like it was shrinking and all peeling off or something. I finally have a decent job and a garage that I can mess with it. Garage is 50 x 40. Not looking to make it a show truck, just want to make it a decent looking truck I can use as a truck.
And my friend trans am he is going to start working on.
