Check out my visors - From mold back to old

These have been sitting in my shop for several years during Old Yeller's buildup and you wouldn't believe the amount of mold/mildew that accumulated on them.

I was afraid they were gonners but today while I was in an experimental mood I decided to try cleaning them up. The pictures speak for themselves. The Acetone worked best and the Gumout Carb cleaner was a very, very close second. The Lacquer thinner was OK and the Oops was a waste of time.

If you can believe it, the visor that was nearly black came out just as clean as the visor beneath it.
