You know your truck has been apart too long when...
You think it looks funny with a box on
I don't actually have an intentional body lift out back. My Suburban tank is sitting up a bit too high in the frame rails, and the rear most crossmember is sitting on it. I'm going to need to buy some new tank straps with a bit more adjustment potential so I can drop it a touch Also got my exhaust on -- Less the plume of black smoke, and the occasional backfire, she sounds pretty good! Only reason I put the box on is so I can make sure that I weld my tailpipe on straight However, by putting the exhaust on, several issues unearthed themselves -- First is a ticking noise coming from my transmission (SM465) that goes away when I hit the clutch, and the fuel tank thing. I've got a 500 buck paycheque coming my way in a few weeks, so I am hoping to go and buy the water pump, alt and power steering bracketry I need so I can get my engine running long enough to get to full operating temp, and get the TPI tuned up a touch
